On my needles:
Project Name: Wendy Bernard’s Custom Knits 2 KAL; Knotted
Yarn: Berroco Vintage DK
Needles: US 6
Since I started designing more seriously, I haven’t really had time to knit other designers’ works. I love all the pattern books in my library, but no time to knit them! I have to be honest, some books haven’t even gotten a good reading yet.
So I jumped at the chance to participate in the KAL with other Wendy fans on Ravelry. I’ve been working on Knotted, and I’m simplifying everything (skipping the waist shaping, winging the sleeves, etc)
Hopefully, I’ll be able to finish by the deadline! 🙂
Other than that, I found a good GI doctor in Irvine, and started going through some tests to find out if I’m celiac. My doctor actually put me on a gluten-free diet and I’ve been gluten free for the past 3 days. I never realized just how much of the everyday product contains wheat or gluten. Soy sauce and miso? some green tea? ice cream? I mean, no wonder more people are becoming gluten intolerant every year. They’re putting stuff in everything we eat!
I’m already feeling a bit better. First of all, my back pain is GONE. It’s only been 3 days so other symptoms are still there but I’ve noticed that my joint pains are mostly gone. That alone makes me want to keep the gluten free diet.
One of the test results is coming back soon, so we’ll see!
